WHAT IS EUTHANASIa?
Euthanasia, also known as assisted suicide, is the termination of a patient's life to relieve persistent suffering from a terminal illness.
THEME
Man cannot play God because there is too much unknown in the world and the responsibility of our actions are so immense that it should not be up for man to decide. In Jurassic Park and Frankenstein, both protagonists are faced with the same conflict. They are questioned about their ideas, which is the creation of life. Many people think this is morally wrong because it seems like the protagonists are trying to be God and trying to reverse what nature has already done.
This conflict is similar to euthanasia because euthanasia is questioned for taking people's lives away. Again, this is considered morally wrong because it is playing with the lives of living things.

Should scientists be able to pursue their investigations regardless of potential risks? The key issue is not compassion or morality, as people on both sides of the debate want to prevent intolerable suffering. The key issue is the long-term consequences of a law change for public safety. This is an issue of social injustice, protecting the vulnerable. Changing the law would send a message that the lives of some are not worth living-it will steer persons towards a premature death. Ultimately, scientists should be allowed to pursue their investigations because without these risks our society would be stuck in one place. These risks allow society to advance in the medical and technology field. In the past, criticism towards scientists never stopped them from pursuing their goals. Without these set goals, there are things that we would have never discovered.

Should they publicize every discovery they make?According to the Hastings Center Report, the use of active euthanasia in medical practice was unknown and estimates varied from 2.000 to 20,000 cases a year. Because these practices aren't made public, many people are not informed about the new discoveries made, which can cause misconceptions. By publicizing new advancements, in this case, euthanasia, people are going to be more educated about this idea. Euthanasia is highly debated due to moral reasons but also because of the lack of information on this topic.
